Florida Tile Porcelain Gets PTCA Certification
Lakeland, FL, April 2, 2009--Florida Tile and the Porcelain Tile Certification Agency said that all of Florida Tile's porcelain products are now Certified Porcelain.
The certification is given only to products that meet the ANSI 137.1 requirements to be a porcelain tile--absorption of less than 0.5%.
Florida Tile tested more than 30 tile lines to attain this certification as a service for our customers.
The Certified Porcelain program was started last year as a response by the tile industry to products that claimed to be porcelain but did not meet the ANSI requirements.
Certified Porcelain must be independently tested by an accredited laboratory, which must forward the results directly to the PTCA.
