Florida Tile Marks Opening of New Porcelain Plant

Lakeland, FL, August 6, 2007--The formal grand opening of Florida Tile's new porcelain plant will be held September 13-14 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

 

The new porcelain production line has been producing porcelain tile products since the beginning of July and will ramp up its activity over the next few months.

 

Leveraging its shared R&D between US and Italy, Florida Tile will be able to introduce a number of new porcelain products inspired by the American market, co-developed in Italy and made in the U.S.

 

The new plant will expand more than 70 million square feet of capacity per year. Together with its national distribution center, directly owned branches and distribution network, the plant is is a key to the company's expansion strategy.  

 

Florida Tile is a fully owned subsidiary of Panaria Group, a public company on the Milan Stock Exchange and a  manufacturer and distributor in over 60 countries through six manufacturing sites in Italy, Portugal and the U.S.
