FloorTek Honors Industry Leaders with Annual Award

Dalton, GA, May 19--FloorTek, sponsored by the Dalton-based American Floorcovering Alliance, presented its Best of FloorTek awards to honor individuals and companies in the industry. The Individual Leadership Awards went to the late James Brown, founder of Brown Printing, and Frank O'Neill, publisher of Floor Focus magazine, for their contributions to the industry. The Environmental Award was presented to Interface, based in Atlanta, for its environmental policy and recycling efforts. The Product Innovation award went to Elbit Vision System, based in Greenville, S.C., for its laser monitoring system. Dalton-based Shaw Industries received the Contribution to the Industry award for its program that turns waste carpet into energy in Whitfield County.
