Flooring Chain Opens Ninth Wisconsin Store

Mount Pleasant, WI, Aug. 6, 2009--The new Carpet Warehouse here is the ninth flooring store for the family-owned Contract Carpets LLC.

The Wausau-based company owns the land and new store.

Because it has nine stores — all in Wisconsin, “They’re able to negotiate with some huge buying power,” said a company spokesman. “We bring the stuff in by the truckload.”

Currently, he said, the store has more than 500,000 square feet of material in stock. That includes carpet rolls, room-size remnants, and vinyl, ceramic, hardwood and laminate flooring.
