Flooring America’s Summer Convention Hits Nashvill

Manchester, NH, August 5--Nashville, Tennessee, is rolling out the red carpet for It’s Showtime!, Flooring America’s Summer 2004 National Convention to be held Thursday and Friday, August 26-27th, at the Marriott Renaissance Nashville Hotel and Conference Center. With a growing national brand awareness and committed membership, a large member turnout is expected for this second major convention of the year. It’s Showtime! will introduce Flooring America’s brand-building strategy and implementation, as well as help members to create an outstanding customer experience. The closing event is a gala evening of barbecue, live entertainment, and dancing at the world-famous Wildhorse Saloon. “One of the main goals and themes for this convention is maximizing customer service and exceeding customer expectations,” said Evan Hackel, president of Flooring America. “With so many new program and product introductions, it’s important to bring all of our members together again to coordinate our efforts in building a national brand.” Attendees will experience: Information-packed Education Day sessions; seminars and presentations on customer service from Mark Sanborn, Al Bates, and a host of dynamic speakers; the unveiling of two new websites; new product introductions; Gold Rush—Flooring America members’ biggest summer buying opportunity; the launch of a complete Neighborhood Network training program; new customer research; exceeding customer expectations with Star Service, a performance rating system—and more. “The Star Service program emphasizes customer service and is one of the best routes toward our goal of exceeding customer expectations,” said Vinnie Virga, Flooring America Senior Vice President. “We’re expanding Star Service to make it readily accessible to all members with even more specific customer feedback about a store’s performance.” With twenty-eight major suppliers at Gold Rush, including Mannington, Armstrong, Shaw, Mohawk, and Solutia, members will enjoy dinner on Thursday alongside the biggest summer buying opportunity--equal in size to the Gold Rush of last March. Exciting product introductions and displays at the convention include: Armstrong’s Frontgate, an upscale sheet vinyl line exclusive to Flooring America in twelve patterns; Adura luxury vinyl tile by Mannington, featuring thirty-eight new designs in a 16” x 16” large-format; Mannington’s Terra del Sol ceramic tile display with 23 new designs; and the expansion of the STAINMASTER Fashion Showplace Gallery. Gold Rush promises opportunities for new wing cards and cut sets, as well.
