Flooring America Promotes McHolm & Wedgeworth

Manchester, NH, May 6--Flooring America and Flooring Canada have announced two changes to its management team. The company has named Randy McHolm, vice president of Flooring Canada, to the post of vice president of merchandising for all of North America. The company also announced the promotion of Lee Wedgeworth to the newly created position of Director of Education & IT Management. With over 25 years of extensive experience in the floorcovering industry, McHolm has the unique expertise to ensure a strong North American focus for both the firm's marquis brands. McHolm will now oversee the development and management of merchandising systems, and vendor relations for both Flooring America and Flooring Canada. "We're working to become the dominant floorcovering retailer in North America by maximizing our internal talent," said Vinnie Virga, president of Flooring America. "Randy's intense membership focus, in-depth knowledge of our industry, and long-standing vendor relationships make this an ideal transition to fully utilize his abilities and continue to strengthen our brand." In 1994, McHolm and partner, Jim Duff, launched Flooring Canada (previously the CarpetMax Association) in Canada, which recently became a fully integrated subsidiary of CCA Global Partners. McHolm previously worked as a Director of Sales/Marketing and as a Territory Manager for McMahon Canada, a Canadian floorcovering distributor. "Lee has done an excellent job at streamlining the IT Department and has developed strong relationships with members through his management of our private Website, FAMembers.net," said Vinnie Virga, president of Flooring America. "We're looking forward to extending his talents into other areas of Flooring America." In his new position, Wedgeworth will oversee Home Emgaination, Flooring America's interactive decorating system, and member education (formerly called training), while continuing his responsibilities as IT Manager.
