Flooring America Names Senior Vice President

Manchester, NH, July 10--Vinnie Virga has joined Flooring America as its Senior Vice President, a newly created position. "Vinnie's proven ability to initiate and manage the expansion of floorcovering businesses is a huge advantage as our members concentrate on growing their businesses and creating a nationally recognized Flooring America brand," said Evan Hackel, President of Flooring America. "His accomplishments in every aspect of the retail floorcovering industry are a powerful resource. All our members will profit from his breadth of experiences as we fulfill our commitment to growth and the establishment of a strong brand identity." Virga brings more than 18 years of retail floorcovering experience to this position. His objectives are "to develop enduring relationships with our members, to listen to them, and ensure that they have the products, marketing, and systems necessary to increase both the productivity and profitability of their businesses," Virga said. Previously, Virga was vice-president of Dalene Flooring of Hartford, CT, with sales of $16,500,000 including four Carpet One stores, where he headed the retail flooring and builder sales division. Concurrently, he revitalized a single ProSource Showroom franchise into a successful five-store chain with sales in excess of $12,500,000. Prior to that he was vice-president of ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings of St. Louis, MO, a division of CCA Global Partners with sales in excess of $250 million. His responsibilities at ProSource included execution of tactical initiatives, franchise development, software development, enterprise project management, marketing, staff training, corporate administration, and bi-annual convention planning.
