Flooring America Names New Directors and Staff Me

Manchester, NH, August 20--Flooring America continues to drive toward realizing a national brand and expanding its service to members with the appointments of two management staff members and eight regional managers. Flooring America appointed Susan Alex as the new director of operations and Jenny Nichols as the new director of member relations. The new regional managers serve as a channel of communication between members and upper management, as well as a valuable resource of information and expertise members can draw from to strengthen and enhance their business operations. Alex will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of Flooring America’s semiannual conventions, as well as project management meeting services and coop operations. Previously, Alex was the senior project manager in another division of CCA Global Partners. Her work history prior to Flooring America includes experience at other national companies, including Timberland and Nike. Nichols will supervise the regional management group and departmental staff who work with members to assist them with all aspects of the retail business, including merchandising, operations, training, marketing and education. Jenny has been with Flooring America since 2001 in a variety of positions. The new managers are as follows: Neil Daley began his thirteen-year career in the floor covering industry as a carpet and tile installer. Neil has previously worked with such companies as New York Carpet World, Empire Carpets and Expo Design Center. Tim Leaver brings extensive experience as a national sales manager to his new role at Flooring America, with a history that includes serving as a sales consultant for showrooms, as well as sales forecasts and staff training. Karen Moisan has more than a decade in many capacities at CCA Global Partners. Her thorough knowledge and experience in training will help her members build stronger customer relationships. Brian Murphy has a broad background as the former field director for a retail and wholesale consulting firm. Wendy Story has been with the Flooring America team for six years. Her strong management background plays an intricate role in the new team’s development and coordination as they work with members. Nancy Trafford has worked for CCA Global Partners in a variety of positions, including member relations, support services, and administration. Previously, she was a program manager for Yankee Publishing, where she developed publicity for major New England non-profit organizations. Rice Wales was previously with Flooring America Online University, gaining intimate knowledge of many of Flooring America’s most productive initiatives. Chuck Watson has over a decade in sales, sales management, profit and loss and financial analysis, as well as considerable training in leadership and personal/professional development including Dale Carnegie, Franklin Covey, and others. Watson’s valuable experience equips him with the skills for negotiation, management, delegation and leadership that are vital to Flooring America’s goals and mission.
