Flooring America Names Director Of Hard Surfaces

Manchester, NH, Nov. 11--Bill Snowdon has joined Flooring America as its Director of Hard Surfaces, a newly created position. "The increasing popularity in every category of hard surface flooring is a fresh marketing opportunity in which we intend to take a leadership role," said Evan Hackel, President of Flooring America. "Bill has such a strong record of accomplishment in this area, I feel we're very fortunate to have added his professional judgment and insights to our team." In his role as Director of Hard Surfaces, Snowdon is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing products, promotions, and programs in each of the hard surface categories. He serves as the primary liaison between Flooring America members and hard surface suppliers across the country, coordinating product and supplier activities, and facilitating member/supplier communications and interaction. Snowdon brings more than 25 years of floorcovering experience to this position. Previously, he was at L.D. Brinkman, of Lewisville, TX, a full-line floorcovering distributor servicing the Southwest and West Coast markets, where he most recently served in two vice-presidential roles simultaneously. As vice-president of marketing, he was responsible for the marketing and sales of Congoleum sheet vinyl and vinyl tile, Pergo laminate, tools/sundries and carpet cushion. And as vice-president of national accounts, he piloted the sales of all products to clients such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Sears, Abbey Carpet, and CCA Global Partners, which is the parent company of Flooring America.
