Flooring America Expands Hard & Soft Surface Intro

Manchester, NH, March 4--Flooring America and Flooring Canada have expanded their hard surface selection and rolled out a major redesign of their private, top-of-the-line carpet collection. "With the intense popularity of hardwood and the technological innovations of laminate, this launch of new hard surface displays will help reinforce our Flooring America brand, known for quality, selection, and value pricing," said Bill Snowdon, director of hard surfaces. "And by adding to our exclusive product selection, introducing new vendors, and updating collections that have proven successful, we’re constantly keeping our members ahead of industry trends and their competition." Flooring America/Flooring Canada’s premier hard surface debut was the addition of hardwood to their exclusive, upscale Bedford Mills carpet collection. The hardwood program will carry on the high-end appeal of the Bedford Mills brand, with 44 SKUs featuring exotic hardwoods, hand scraped, and distressed looks. In addition, Flooring America and Flooring Canada introduced new hardwood core displays and sample packages from Anderson and Appalachian. Both Anderson and Appalachian are known for manufacturing beautiful, durable engineered hardwood floors. With the ongoing evolution of laminate floors, Flooring America and Flooring Canada unveiled two new laminate displays. The first, a new Wilsonart core display, is designed specifically for members not currently showing the Wilsonart collection or members with aging Wilsonart displays. The second, a Floortrends laminate retrofit program, will be offered in late spring. The kit will retrofit one of two Floortrends showroom displays to allow medium and high-end laminate samples to be shown in a larger, more effective format. Beyond hard surface, the Bedford Mills carpet collection received a fresh look with the addition of 19 innovative styles and two displays featuring a new manufacturing arrangement. The line of fashionable, upscale carpets will maintain the same price points and exceptional level of quality. Members have the option of implementing the two new displays, instead of the complete Bedford Mills collection of 80 styles. "The introduction of our new Bedford Mills styles into showrooms is perfect for members looking to expand their carpet selection, attract more affluent customers, and increase their gross profit margin through higher average tickets," said Englert.
