Flooring America & Flooring Canada Launch Training
Manchester, NH, April 24, 2006--In a major push by Flooring America and Flooring Canada to deliver continuing sales and service education to every single member, the floor covering cooperative is investing $500,000 on door-to-door visits by a leading industry expert--a commitment that includes faraway stops in Alaska and Hawaii.
“That’s a lot of miles and a lot of house calls,” said Flooring America President Vinnie Virga, “but it’s vitally important to provide our members with the training and expert advice they need to succeed and grow. And nothing beats sitting down with someone face-to-face.”
Retail consultant Wayde Triska recently began the three-year effort with a focus on customer service, store profitability and strategic planning. Triska is an operations and finance executive who is also a consultant for the Flooring America University where members can access over 350 courses online.
“Sound financial planning, and taking care of the customer are going to get every Flooring America store where it wants to go,” said Triska. “The first thing I do with the members I work with is to set a pre-tax profit goal of 10 percent of sales. That’s very achievable, and I’m delighted to be able to help members reach that mark.”
The personal consultation is part of a continuing effort to build the Flooring America and Flooring Canada international brands focused on outstanding value and personal trust.
“We want every one of our members and sales professionals to be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills that make Flooring America successful and the store of choice for the consumer,” said Virga. “This is a great program, and a great investment in our future.”
