FloorExpo Winners of ‘Body For Life’ Challenge

Marietta, GA, March 23, 2006--For FloorExpo the expression, ‘Physical fitness before mental fitness,’ is more than a motto; it is a key value for the nation's largest finishing contractor network. To encourage others towards a healthier lifestyle, FloorExpo invited all member companies, member company employees, supply partners, and corporate employees to take the first annual 2005 Body-for-Life Corporate Challenge. FloorExpo’s Body-for-Life Corporate Challenge was a 12-week healthy living contest based on the proven principles of the best-selling book, "Body-for-Life." The challenge was introduced at the FloorExpo conference in September 2005 with words of encouragement from the national 1998 Body-for-Life Challenge Champion, Kelly Adair. Adair’s inspiring experience motivated 122 people to complete FloorExpo’s 12-week fitness challenge. Judging for individual and team participants was based on before and after photos and on transformation essays submitted by each contestant. FloorExpo presented awards to the winners during its annual cocktail party at Surfaces 2006. Body-for-Life Individual Winners 1st Place: David Ball of WCCV--lost 34 pounds 2nd Place: Steve Hoppe of Arlun, Inc.--lost 42 pounds 3rd Place: Michael Sitton of Sitton Flooring--lost 18 pounds. Body-for-Life Team Winners 1st Place: Jack Howe, Greg Peeler and Patrick Williams, all WCCV. Lost a group total of 65 pounds 2nd Place: David Gheesling, FloorExpo; Randy Hanscom, Georgia Floors; and Chris Rogers, Daltile. Lost a group total of 65 pounds “We extend our congratulations to all challengers,” says David Gheesling, CEO of FloorExpo. “As a participant myself, I experienced the life-changing effects of the Body-for-Life program. Not only did it improve my physical health, it inspired a way of living that I plan to continue.”
