FloorExpo Offers Online Training

Marietta, GA, December 19, 2005--Home Solutions by FloorExpo offers its members numerous buying, marketing, technology and training benefits. The newest training benefit is Home Solutions Online Training System (HSt), a comprehensive online training system exclusively for its member flooring contractors. HSt includes a broad range of courses designed to strengthen all areas of a member’s builder business, and is currently being implemented around the nation. Patrick Williams, owner of WCCV Flooring in Stow, Ohio, recognizes the many advantages of this program and is so committed to the power of ongoing education for his employees that he is giving a cash bonus to every WCCV employee that completes the Home Solutions training. “I believe in the power of education,” says Williams. “Every employee, regardless of his/her position, benefits from having a deeper knowledge of the flooring, builder and design center businesses. Not only does it improve individual performance, it also strengthens the quality of our team. The accessibility and the high quality content of the FloorExpo HSt makes this a no-brainer for us. The level of detail blows me away, I learned a lot myself.” Within the HSt program are four content-rich categories of courses--flooring types and installation processes, customer service skills, design, color and trends, and standard software applications--all of which focus on the residential builder market. Each course is interactive, with exercises and activities throughout, and features animation, rich media content and video. FloorExpo also provides every participant with a professional development track that outlines a specific course curriculum based on his/her job description. “We recognize that there are different training needs within a company and organize our online courses to optimize every employee’s participation,” explains Kathy Van Pelt, director of marketing technology for FloorExpo. “It is great to see WCCV take full advantage of our training by rewarding those who successfully complete the program. We commend their commitment to excellence.”
