FloorCo Design Center Opens New California Showroo
Corona, CA, August 7, 2006--FloorCo Design Center opened its new showroom in Corona, California. With over 5,000 square feet of shopping space, FloorCo Design Center offers over 20,000 flooring options in carpet, hardwood, tile, stone, area rugs and other hard surfaces and exotic materials.
The design center was created to service trade professionals, such as designers, architects,
homebuilders and remodelers, contractors and real estate professionals.
As part of the successful Alliance Floorcovering enterprise, FloorCo Design Center has access to over seventy-five of the industry’s premier flooring suppliers and offers its trade members discounted pricing and referrals to a pre-qualified network of installers.

FloorCo’s Corona design center is the first of several Southern California locations planned by its founders, Larry Jones and Ron Ray. Jones has over 25 years experience in the floor covering industry, He began his career at DuPont, and served as president of DesignWeave from 1983-1988. In 1988, Jones founded the successful design-driven company,Monterey Carpets, where he served as CEO until 2002 when Tandus acquired the brand. For many years, Ron Ray has operated a successful flooring dealership, Trend West, that offers product and installation services to the trade in Orange County and the Inland Empire.
The award winning Atlanta-based firm Grant Design Collaborative designed FloorCo Design Center’s Corona showroom. Grant’s team has created successful brand design programs and showrooms for clients such as Adobe Systems, Herman Miller, Geiger International, Monterey Carpets, Set Wallcovering Systems and Harbinger. According to Grant Design Collaborative’s president and creative director, Bill Grant, “We welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with Larry Jones and Ron Ray on this exciting project. Having worked with Larry to create one of the industry’s most successful brands, Monterey Carpets, we appreciate his vision and experience. Larry and Ron allowed us to execute our design vision for the FloorCo Design Center without compromise, and their customers now have an intriguing, well designed, destination for flooring products.”
The Grant Design Collaborative team created an open and clean showroom environment that provides an organized and accessible shopping experience. FloorCo’s products are showcased in gallery boutiques by product type: carpet, hardwood, tile, stone and exotic materials. The one-stop-shopping experience was designed to provide members and their guests a productive and calming shopping experience.
FloorCo Design Center’s Corona showroom is open to members on weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Located near Orange County at the freeway intersection of Highways 15 and 91, the location was selected due to the opposite traffic flow and central location at 146 Via Trevizio in Corona.
