Kennesaw, GA, January 9, 2007--Floor & Decor Outlets of America has named Clif Denney as its senior vice president and chief merchandise officer. Denney brings more than 30 years of experience in retail merchandising through a proven track record with some of the nation's most recognized retail brands.
"I am pleased to add Clif to our management team," said Michael Froning, president & chief executive officer of Floor & Decor. "Clif is a seasoned professional. His breadth of retail experience and innovative ideas will complement our merchandising team and help us achieve our growth goals in 2007."
Prior to joining Floor & Decor, Denney spent 30 years in retail management with Circuit City and the K-Mart Corporation. Most recently, he was senior vice president and general merchandise manager for Circuit City and throughout his tenure held numerous leadership positions with the company including director of marketing.
Other organizational announcements include the promotion of Ersan Sayman to assistant vice president of merchandising and category manager of stone and ceramic/porcelain.
"Ersan represents the level of talent and product knowledge that has contributed to the tremendous growth and success of our company in becoming the leader in hard surface flooring," said Mr. Froning. "His extensive
experience and knowledge of the industry combined with his ability to execute made him the perfect fit for this position."
Sayman joined Floor & Decor in 2003 from the ceramic and porcelain industry. Throughout his tenure with the company, he has held the position of senior buyer of ceramic and porcelain and most recently senior buyer of
stone/tumble stone.
Additionally, Floor & Decor announced the following company promotions:
