First2Print Intros Large-Format Digital Printing S
Miami Beach, FL, April 4, 2006--First2Print, a large-format fabric printing service, will showcase three new materials for instantly customizing textiles, starting at just 25 yards, via digital printing in booth 1108 at the Miami Beach Material World show from April 4-6, 2006.
With color as the foundation of inspirational interior design, digital-printing services from First2Print unlock the home decor doors to render unlimited colors and images for short-run yardage of fabrics, for everything from bedding to drapery to upholstery and flooring.
Three novel materials allow interior designers to customize textiles to meet any client's wishes. With help from DigiFab Systems, a manufacturer of pre- and post-press digital-printing equipment and pre-treated textiles, First2Print is showcasing a cotton sateen, poly voile and rubber-backed carpet--each of which can be digitally printed on demand--for the ultimate in instant home decor customization.
The cotton sateen is 100 percent heavy-weight combed-cotton sateen for bedding, drapery and upholstery. The poly voile is 100 percent polyester semi-sheer voile for bedding, drapery and home decor. The rubber-backed carpet is a synthetic blend of low-piled fibers backed with rubber for flooring applications.
Interior designers, artists and manufacturers of home furnishings and decor products have previously struggled with designing, purchasing or producing 3,000 yard minimums of custom prints. With these new materials and digital fabric print services from First2Print, the creation of textile prints with just a minimum of 25 yards is now practical. In addition, First2Print's services make photographic imagery possible and eliminate traditional spot-color and screen-separation restrictions.
"Whether it is an interior designer or product manufacturer, we are able to have a customized product development solution from concept of visual art requested through to the execution of digital textile printing--starting at 25 yard minimums," said Danielle Locastro, director of operations for First2Print. "We partner with DigiFab Systems as our fabrics supplier and Design Works as our design resource, which enables First2Print to offer our clients one-stop shopping. We can replicate any discontinued non-copyrighted pattern or create a new design from reference materials or artistic direction. This really makes textile print customization a reality for all."
