FieldTurf Tarkett Buys Benyon Sports Surfaces

Montreal, Quebec, Canada, April 21, 2008--FieldTurf Tarkett has purchased Beynon Sports Surfaces and Beynon Enterprises and is now the largest running track company in North America.

 

FieldTurf characterized the deal as one of the most significant announcements to come out of the sports surfacing industry in recent years.

 

Beynon Sports Surfaces has a long history of innovation and was selected to build the track for the 2008 Olympic track and field trials at the University of Oregon, Hayward Field.

 

Beynon Enterprises is a supplier of premium high-performance polyurethane products for the synthetic sports surfacing market.

In addition to building the track for the 2008 Olympic track and field trials, Beynon Sports Surfaces has completed well over 450 world-class, outdoor running tracks and thousands of gymnasium and field house indoor systems for customers such as the University of Oklahoma, University of Illinois, University of Massachusetts and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
