FieldTurf Acquires Assets of Australia's Grass Manufacturers

Paris-La Defense, FR, February 1, 2018-FieldTurf, a Tarkett Sports company and artificial turf manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of the assets of Grass Manufacturers Pty Limited (Grassman), an Australian artificial turf manufacturer.

The acquisition of Grassman expands FieldTurf’s presence in the Australian market, in particular in the field of hockey, tennis, landscape, and utility segments, thus complementing applications for soccer and rugby. Additionally, the acquisition will provide a strong platform to serve field builders and contractors across Australia.

Grassman was founded in 1991 by Gary Waterford and is located in Botany, New South Wales, Australia. Grassman is accredited by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), and its products are certified by the International Tennis Federation. With over 30 employees, Grassman sales amount to 15 million Australian dollars in 2017.
