FHFA Home Price Index Recorded an 0.8% Rise in January
Washington, DC, March 22, 2018-The FHFA House Price Index (HPI) reported a 0.8% increase in U.S. house prices in January from the previous month.
From January 2017 to January 2018, house prices were up 7.3%.
For the nine census divisions, seasonally adjusted monthly price changes from December 2017 to January 2018 ranged from -0.7% in the West South Central division to +1.2% in the New England and Pacific divisions.
The 12-month changes were all positive, ranging from +5.1% in the West South Central division to +10.0% in the Mountain division.
