Faus Wins Patent Infringement Lawsuit in China

Calhoun, GA, February 28, 2008– Faus Group, Inc. said that a Shanghai court in China has granted Faus Timber Shanghai/CFL, Co. Ltd. a victory in its patent infringement lawsuit against Hangzhou Singular Group and its affiliate Hangzhou Bai Ju Yi Floor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Singular”).

In August of 2007, Faus Shanghai filed suit against Singular in a Shanghai court, charging infringement of Faus’s Chinese patent relating to embossed-in-register (EIR) laminate flooring products. On Feb. 25, the Shanghai court issued a first instance judgment, finding that Singular infringed Faus’s Chinese EIR patent and has ordered Singular to stop manufacturing laminate flooring products in China using the patented technology, pay damages and attorneys’ fees to Faus Shanghai, and publish a formal apology in a Chinese magazine for the flooring industry.
