Faus Group Partners with QuickStart Training Progr
Calhoun, GA – Faus Group, Inc. (“Faus”) announced today the Georgia Department of Economic Development will train workers for the company’s Calhoun manufacturing facility under the state’s QuickStart program. Juan Flores, President of Faus Group, Inc, signed an agreement last week with the state and Coosa Valley Technical College that will set up a QuickStart training program at the college’s Gordon County, GA campus. Faus opened a Calhoun manufacturing facility in February. The company currently has approximately 75 workers but will have 160 when it begins full production later this summer. A planned second phase will increase employment to 360 by 2008. Flores met Jackie Rohosky, assistant commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, in 2005. Rohosky is responsible for the state’s QuickStart program, which offers customized training programs for new and expanding firms in Georgia through Georgia’s network of technical colleges. “QuickStart has been instrumental in helping us set up operations in the United States,” Flores said. “At one time, we were just talking about this project. Now, one year later, here we are. I can’t wait to get this first phase of the project finished so we can start on the second phase. Faus is the global leader in design and technology innovation.
