Calhoun, GA, May 18, 2006--Faus Group, Inc., announced today that Andres Faus, founder of Faus Group and chairman of the board of directors until December 2005, passed away May 16 in Gandia, Valencia, Spain.
Faus had been diagnosed with an illness a few months ago. It was this illness that ultimately caused his untimely death Tuesday evening. He was 68.
“The Faus family were carpenters of great vision and strength who founded our company in 1953,” said Juan Flores, president of Faus Group, Inc. “Mr. Faus was a pioneer in the industry and in many different manufacturing areas. It was through all his hard work, honesty and integrity that Faus Group grew to become an internationally recognized name in the world of woodworking and laminate flooring.”
