Faus Files Patent Infringement Against Pergo

Dalton, GA, August 4--Today, Industrias Auxiliares Faus and Faus Group, Inc. filed a patent infringement action against Pergo, Inc. and Pergo (Europe) AB. The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division, charges Pergo with infringement of United States Patent Nos. 6,401,415 and 6,688,061 relating to Faus Embossed-in-Register and Joint Guard beveled edge technologies. These patents have already been licensed to several major laminate flooring manufacturers. The complaint alleges that the recently announced "Pergo Vintage Home Traditional Strip collection" infringes these patents. The complaint requests both preliminary and permanent injunctions, and requests damages and costs.
