Faus Files Infringment Suit Against Mohawk

Dalton, GA, September 13, 2005--On September 12, 2005, Industrias Auxiliaries Faus and Faus Group, Inc. filed a patent infringement action against Mohawk Industries, Inc. The suit, which was filed in the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division, charges Mohawk of infringing U.S. Patent Nos. 6,401,415 and 6,688,061 relating to Faus Embossed-In-Register and Joint Guard beveled edge technologies. A similar lawsuit was recently filed against Pergo, Inc. and Pergo (Europe) AB. These patents have already been licensed to major laminate floor companies. The complaint alleges that the Mohawk Laminate Flooring Model DL12-10 “Havana Natural,” infringes these patents.
