European Patent Office Confirms Välinge Technology

Viken, Sweden, April 17, 2008--The European Opposition Division at the European Patent Office has maintained three Välinge European patents.

Välinge said 10 of its patents have now successfully passed oppositions and has more patents that have passed oppositions during the last 10 years than all other laminate and wood-flooring producers together.

The three patents are related to the angling installation method, to laminate floors installed in a herringbone pattern and to small laminate strips that could be installed in parallel rows with the folding technology.

”Our patent portfolio continues to strengthen as more and more of our patents are successfully withstanding the ultimate test during the opposition procedures. This shows that our technology is innovative and commercially important” says Välinge CEO Darko Pervan.
