Beijing, China, January 25--Two European Nylon producers, Rhodia of France and Radici of Italy, plan to produce PA mixed materials in China, because they have no production facilities there yet, according to the China Construction Project.
Rhodia will put the 40kt/a PA6 and PA66 facilities into operation in Shanghai in November, 2005 as Jean Clauds Steinmetz, the chief executive officer of engineering and plastic company in Rhodia, forecasts that the average growth rate per annum of market demand will be over 20% in China.
Meanwhile, Radici will build up two or three production lines of mixed materials. "We are negotiating with our prospective partners about launching a joint venture, including the distributors in Beijing. We will decide whether to own or cooperate with Chinese local companies," the chief executive officer of engineering and plastic company in Radici Luigi Gerolla said.
