EU Deadline Set for Desseaux Acquisition

Brussels, Belgium, February 27, 2007--The European Commission said the deadline for its inquiry into NPM Capital NV''s proposed acquisition of carpet manufacturer Tapijtfabriek H Desseaux NV is set for Mar 28, according to AFX News Limited.

No financial details were disclosed.

The deal will be examined under the EU''s simplified merger review procedure for cases that the commission believes do not pose competition concerns.

Desseaux, which has plants in Belgium and the Netherlands, is part of US firm Armstrong World Industries Inc''s textile and sports flooring business segment.

NPM Capital is a division of holding company SHV Holdings.
