Ethan Allen’s Same-Store Sales Rise

Danbury, CN, August 15, 2007-- Home furnishing retailer Ethan Allen Interiors said its same-store sales in July rose slightly as June trends in consumer spending continued to affect the company.

Ethan Allen Chief Executive Farooq Kathwari said same-store sales were up "modestly" in July.

"Our retail written sales on a comparable store basis were modestly up in June and that modest positive trend has continued in July," Kathwari said. "We remain cautiously aware of the fact that consumer confidence can be impacted by several factors that are beyond our control."
