Engineered Wood Antidumping Tariff Announced

May 20, 2011)The Department of Commerce announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the antidumping (AD) duty investigation of imports of multilayered wood flooring from the People's Republic of China. The rates range from 0 (zero) percent to 82.65%.

Two importers, Zhejiang Yahua Timber Company (Yahua) and Zhejiang Layo Wood Industries Co. Ltd. (Layo) received preliminary zero percent dumping rates. Yahua is a supplier for Lumber Liquidators and Mullican.  Layo is a supplier for Home Legend, Swiff-Train and Somerset.

The Samling Group, which a supplier for Mannington Mills, CCA Global and U.S. Floors, received a preliminary dumping rate of 10.88%. 

73 additional exporters qualified for a separate rate of 10.88%. All other Chinese producers/exporters are subject to the China-wide preliminary dumping rate of 82.65%.

It is important to note that these duties are preliminary in nature and the ITC is scheduled to make its final injury determination on or about September 16, 2011.
