Unemployment Hit 10-Year Low of 4.4% in April

Washington, DC, May 5, 2017-Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 211,000 in April, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.4%, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

Job gains occurred in leisure and hospitality, healthcare and social assistance, financial activities, and mining.
