Empire Today Wins BBB Award

Northlake, IL, November 17, 2006-- Home furnishings and home improvement company Empire Today, has been honored by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Chicago & Northern Illinois with a 2006 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The award will be presented at a November 30, 2006 ceremony in Chicago. "Empire Today has grown tremendously in the last several years - we're in over 40 U.S. markets now - and that is due to one factor: outstanding customer service." In a record-setting year, more than 800 companies were nominated for a 2006 Chicago BBB Torch Award. Empire Today wins in the category for businesses with 1,000-7,499 employees; it's the first time a home improvement company has won a local Torch Award in that division. Empire's product lines include carpet; flooring; window treatments; custom vinyl replacement windows; vinyl siding; no-clog gutters; and bathtub & shower liners. Presented annually, the BBB Torch Awards showcase the long-term value of honest and honorable business practices. Winning companies are selected by an independent panel of judges from the local business and academic community, each with expertise in marketplace ethics. Based in Northlake, Illinois, Empire Today serves consumers in 40 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada; plans call for an additional 15-20 market openings over the next 12 months. The company employs over 1,600 people.
