Economists See Rate Hike Next September
New York, NY, Nov. 13, 2009--The Wall Street Journal said that economists in its recent survey expect the Federal Reserve to begin raising interest rates next September.
The Journal also said that the 52 surveyed economists expect the unemployment rate to rise to 10.3% by the end of this year from its current 10.2%, and they expect it to stay above 9.5% through 2010.
The respondents also expect job growth to return next year but not enough to keep up with new entrants to the workforce.
