Economists in AP Survey See Slow Growth Ahead
Washington, DC, Oct. 28, 2010 -- An Associated Press survey of economists shows they believe the economy will improve only marginally next year.
The latest quarterly AP Economy Survey shows economists are pushing back their estimates of when key barometers of economic health -- hiring, spending, expansion -- will signal strength.
AP reports that economists believe that shoppers will be reluctant to spend and will keep on saving. In addition, employers will be very cautious in hiring.
They also see a double-dip recession as unlikely and the threat of deflation as remote.
