Economic Indicators Rise 12th Straight Month
Washington, DC, April 19, 2010--The index of leading economic indicators rose 1.4% in March, the 12th consecutive gain, following an upwardly revised increase of 0.4% in February, according to the Conference Board.
Analysts had expected a gain of 1.3% in March.
"Improvement in employment and income will be the key factors in whether consumers push the recovery on a stronger path," said Ken Goldstein, economist at the Conference Board.
