Earl Named VP of R&D at Dal-Tile

Dallas, TX, May 24, 2007--Dal-Tile Corp. has appointed Dr. David A. Earl as vice president of research and development.  In this role, he will be responsible for leading Dal-Tile in all areas related to innovation in products and technology.

       

Prior to his position at Dal-Tile, Dr. Earl was employed at Alfred University in New York, where was an associate professor of ceramic engineering and materials science, and also served as director of the university’s Center for Environmental & Energy Research. He has also served as president of ProCera Technologies, LLC, where he provided advice and strategic solutions to attorneys, businesses and government agencies.

       

Dr. Earl is a member of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and a two-time past winner of the John Marquis Memorial Award for his publications on glaze research.

 

A 1985 graduate of Alfred University with a B.S. in ceramic engineering, Dr. Earl received his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in materials science and ceramic engineering from the University of Florida.
