Dystar to Build Dye Production Base in China

Nanjing, China, March 15--Dystar Corp, the world's largest textile and printed dyes manufacturer, has started construction to build a production base in Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park, east Chinas Jiangsu Province. With an investment of US$5.5 million, the first production line will be put into production in the base in the first half of 2006. Dystar (Nanjing) Dyestuff Company will mainly produce fibers and dyes for chemical fabrics and will also produce other dyes according to market demand. Dystar has established two production bases in Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province and in Qingdao, a port city in east Chinas Shandong Province. Dystar was formed based on the dyes departments of three German chemical giants, including Basf Group and Bayer Group.
