Durkan Carpet Used in First LEED Platinum Hotel

Kennesaw, GA, Oct. 29, 2008--Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, N.C. recently received LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Durkan's CRI Green Label Plus Merit Custom carpeting contributed to Proximity's platinum rating with its post-industrial and post-consumer content and low VOC emissions adhesives.

The first LEED Platinum hotel in the U.S., the luxury hotel pays a contemporary tribute to Greensboro's textile heritage, and is named after the Proximity Manufacturing Cotton Mill and Proximity Print Works Mill.
