D.R. Horton Homebuilding Revenue Down 2% in Q2, Orders Up 11%

Arlington, TX, April 21, 2026-For Q2 2026, homebuilding revenue decreased 2% to $7.1 billion, and homes closed increased 1% to 19,486 homes. 

Net sales orders increased 11% to 24,992 homes with an order value of $9.2 billion.

The company’s cancellation rate (cancelled sales orders divided by gross sales orders) for the quarter was 16%, consistent with the prior year quarter. 

D.R. Horton is the largest homebuilder in the United States by volume since 2002, operating in 36 states. The company employs approximately 14,000 people and focuses on affordable, single-family, and multi-family homes.
