Seattle, WA, Sepember 17--Environmental Home Center, a leading sustainable building supplier, today announced a plan to help the NW EcoBuilding Guild replace the 5,000 copies of The Green Pages lost in the August 11 fire that destroyed EHC's offices, showroom and main warehouse.
EHC was donating warehouse space to the Guild, a non-profit organization, to store the entire stock of The Green Pages.
Since the fire, EHC has received an outpouring of support from its SODO neighbors, customers and the green building industry in the Pacific Northwest, including offers for financial assistance. "We want to get the word out to all our supporters that have offered financial assistance to help defray the costs of reprinting The Green Pages," notes Tim Taylor, CEO. "They are a great resource for the green building community and to consumers and we would love to be able to get them replaced."
The Green Pages provide the Northwest's only ecologically sustainable professional services listing for people interested in environmentally friendly design, building, remodeling, landscaping, and maintenance. The NW EcoBuilding Guild is a not-for-profit member based educational organization focused on creating environmentally responsible residential and light commercial buildings.
EHC suggests that donations to replace the 5,000 copies be sent directly to the NW EcoBuilding Guild, P.O. Box 58530, Seattle, Washington, 98138-1530, Attn: EHC fire/green pages. Checks should be made payable to NW EcoBuilding Guild. Donations can also be made with a credit card. For details, interested parties should contact membership@ecobuilding.org.
