Domotex USA Offers Wrap-Up of 2020 Show

Chicago, IL, February 13, 2020-Following three days of educational sessions and displays from floorcovering companies, the second annual Domotex USA closed on February 7. A total of 101 flooring and floorcovering technology suppliers from more than 12 countries unveiled their latest products across 39,800 square feet of exhibition space.

Speakers included Alan Beaulieu, international economic analyst and president of the Institute for Trend Research, who kicked off the show’s education program with an in-depth look at economic indicators; brand leadership expert, Denise Lee Yohn, who gave a keynote free about how floorcovering experts can develop a brand experience that really connects with their customers; and James Dion, founder and president of Dionco, who shared his expertise on consumer trends, retail technology, selling and service, retail merchandising and operations, as well as best practices for sustainable retail and store management.

Immediately following the show, it was announced that the Domotex USA team is taking 60 days to re-evaluate plans for future events as, "the current venue and timing are clearly not attracting the type of audience required to build a sustainable flooring show."
