Domotex Middle East Reflects GCC Housing Boom

Dubai, UAE, February 11, 2008--Domotex Middle East, the only dedicated carpets and floor coverings exhibition in Middle East, said it will showcase the region's biggest collection of products under one roof during the event's third edition at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 25-27.

The exhibition seeks to take advantage of a significant growth of the Middle East market, which is greatly influenced by the region's massive real estate boom. According to recent statistics, up to 5 million residential units are under construction in the Gulf Cooperation Council, including more than 1,400 new high-profile developments collectively valued at over $697 billion.

Deutsche Messe, the organizer of the annual exhibition, said that a huge and diverse audience of retail and wholesale buyers, interior designers, architects, property developers, manufacturers, floor fitters and trade specialists is expected to attend. It said that over 90 per cent of the exhibition area has been sold out and the event is likely to have a record turnout.
