Dodge-Regupol Splits With German Partner
Dodge-Regupol, the largest user of scrap tire rubber in North America, sells cork, cork/rubber and recycled-rubber products, including ECOsurfaces and Everlast flooring. BSW produces surface products for the construction and sports industries throughout Europe and Asia.
"We've had a long-term, successful partnership with BSW that has been beneficial for both our companies," said Art Dodge, president and CEO of Dodge-Regupol.
"However, both of our businesses have grown and evolved successfully in new directions by taking advantage of emerging opportunities. As that pattern has continued, we mutually agreed it was the right time to conclude our joint venture.”
Dodge said that Dodge-Regupol will remain in Pennsylvania and continue ownership of its products but will take a new name in January. He said the company is adopting an “expanded mission” that will present “new business frontiers” and should be able to grow faster. He did not offer more specific information.
Dodge-Regupol, formed as a partnership between Dodge Cork Co. and BSW, will continue to recycle rubber for its products, Dodge said. It annually recycles about 80 million pounds.
