Dixie Consolidates Atlas California Carpet Mill to Alabama

Dalton, GA, October 10, 2018-Dixie has announced the final step in its unification with the merge of Atlas’ west coast manufacturing operations into its Atmore, Alabama facilities. 

This includes Atlas’ creative team, which will relocate to its Design Studio in Saraland, Alabama. 

Management of the two brands, now known as Atlas | Masland, were merged in October of 2017 followed by the unification of the sales force this September. 

Service teams were also joined, providing a combined sales force with one point of contact.

“The consolidation of Atlas and Masland Contract provides an exciting opportunity for us to become a greater resource to our customers in the hyper competitive commercial flooring market,” says Dan Frierson, chairman of The Dixie Group.

All moves will be completed by mid-2019.
