Design Guild Beginning Annual Awards Contest

Manchester, NH, May 11, 2010--The International Design Guild, an alliance of luxury floor covering showrooms throughout the U.S. and Canada, is holding its sixth annual Designer Showcase Awards beginning May 1.

A panel of luxury floor covering showroom owners will judge the entries based upon individuality, use of color and overall design.

One designer will win the Louis A. Dabbieri Award of Distinction and a grand prize of $5,000. There will also be a first runner up awarded a $2,500 cash prize and two honorable mentions with $1,000 cash prizes.

"This annual event provides designers with a forum in which to showcase their most exceptional interior designs," said Krista Eliason, president of International Design Guild.

"This is our chance to recognize and reward members of the design community for their ongoing dedication to creating interiors that exemplify uncompromising beauty and exquisite taste."
