De Clerck Family Members Form Beaulieu Internation

Waregem, Belgium, July 1--Following due approval by the Competition Board, various members of the De Clerck family have inked a deal under which a new joint industry group is being incorporated under the name of Beaulieu International Group. The parties involved are Stephan Colle (Beaulieu Kruishoutem), Dominiek De Clerck (Ter Lembeek International), Francis De Clerck (IDEAL Group), Luc De Clerck (Berry Floor Group) and Roger De Clerck (Beaulieu Plastics). The newly created entity is set to be a conglomerate of considerable financial clout, employing a 4,781 strong workforce in 8 countries and effecting a € 1.4 billion ($1.7B) turnover (consolidated 2004). The corporation is to be captained by a solid management team in charge of the group’s operational management, headed by Christophe Deroose as chief executive officer, Dirk Dees as chief operational officer and José Nobels as Legal & Administration officer. They will be able to drawn on the qualified and unconditional assistance from the family shareholders who will be making their know-how and longstanding experience available to the merged group.
