Dates Set For Australian Flooring Show

Melbourne, Australia, July 28--Finishes and Surfaces, Australia’s first dedicated architectural surfacing products exhibition, will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from September 5 to 7. Run by Australian Exhibition Services, the show will focus on flooring, wallcovering, cladding and laminating products. New products will be a highlight of the event with many companies using the exhibition as a platform to launch ranges. These include HDM which will showcase its new Elesgo Country flooring range, which combines the advantages of traditional laminate flooring with the appearance of an old-style wooden floor plank; Cultured Stone which replicates natural stone so accurately that it looks and feels like the original will be present; Sim Designer Floor Systems which will show a never-before seen concrete flooring application that has been designed for use in residential, commercial or industrial settings and which allows designers the freedom to incorporate subtle stains, stencil patterns or metallic finishes; Fairbank Flooring Products which will show feature its new timber aging process and Gunnerson Timbermark which will launch its new decorative surfaces division, Gunnerson Inspirations - with Elements the first range to be released. Said to revolutionise the way light creates movement and dimension on surfaces, this finish offers the versatility of paint with the functionality of laminate. A series of free seminars will complement the trade display. These will include a presentation by Polyflor held in conjunction with the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in which the latest developments in environmental policies for the manufacturing, installation, maintenance and removal of PVC vinyl products will be detailed. Another presentation will look at what the new five star energy ratings requirement will mean for Victorian designers and builders and a session on aggregate exposed flooring will look at what is new concrete.
