Dal-Tile's New Dickson, Tennessee Tile Plant Now in Operation

Dickson, TN, April 22, 2016—Dal-Tile’s new $180 million, 1.8-million-square-foot Dickson county, Tennessee manufacturing facility is up and running, according to The Tennessean.

In March, the plant’s first tile kiln began operation, and the company’s first production run was completed. 

In the last interview Kemp Harr had with John Turner, president of Dal-Tile, Turner said that the first two phases of completion in the Dixon, Tennessee facility will add 150 miiion square feet of capacity and enable the firm to press tile up to 72 inches in length. This makes this facility the most advanced tile production facility in North America. 

Dal-Tile is the largest producer of tile in the world, is the market share leader in the U.S. and is a division of Mohawk industries.
