Crossville Intros New Slate Look Product

Crossville, TN, Apr. 22--Crossville's new WeatherStone Series is a porcelain stone tile that emulates natural slate in both residential and commercial settings. It's available in two surface textures--one is slip resistant and tough enough to brave the weather outdoors (XT); the other is smoother and easy to clean for indoor use (UPS). Because there is no significant visual difference between the two textures, the only way to tell them apart is by actually touching the surface of the tiles. WeatherStonefs slate-inspired colors differ from tile to tile just like the random coloring found in natural stone. They are offered in five rustic hues: Summer Cloud (Light Beige), Autumn Sun (Rustic Gold), Taupe Mist (Madras), WetStone (Dark Taupe) and Midnite Storm (Black/Gold). Each color is available in multiple sizes and trims: from 3" x 3" (mounted on one-square-foot sheets) to 18 x 18. All sizes are available in the indoor (UPS) texture; however, only 6" x 6" and larger are available in the outdoor (XT) texture. Trim in the indoor (UPS) texture includes a 4" x 12" single bullnose (SBN), 3" x 6" single bullnose (SBN) with bullnose available on the 3h or 6h side, a 3" x 6" right corner, a 3" x 6" left corner and a 6" x 12" cove base. Additional wood-textured 3" x 3" and 3" x 6" tiles, plus a mosaic border, increase the design options. gWe developed the WeatherStone Series using the latest technology; its warm, earthy colors and rustic appearance are a close second to natural slate,h states Jim Dougherty, vice president of marketing and business development at Crossville. gPlus, WeatherStonefs wide range of sizes and trim selections add unlimited design options--indoors or out--for architects, homeowners and landscape professionals.h
