Downers Grove, IL, March 2, 2006--The ServiceMaster Company announced that Scott J. Cromie has been named group president of ServiceMaster with responsibility for American Home Shield, AmeriSpec, ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids, Furniture Medic and newly acquired InStar Services Group.
Cromie remains the chief executive officer of American Home Shield.
The company named David J. Crawford as president and COO of American Home Shield.
The company also announced that it has completed the acquisition of InStar Services Group, which represents the Company's previously announced strategic expansion of commercial disaster restoration.
"The acquisition of InStar complements the services of ServiceMaster Clean and changes the game in the commercial disaster response and restoration market," said Jonathan Ward, chairman and CEO. "Our teams are already making progress on the successful integration of the business, which is consistent with our goal to strengthen and expand our commercial services."

Cromie began his career with American Home Shield in 1986 and after serving in a number of senior management positions, was appointed president and COO in 1996. Scott earned a BS in commerce from Santa Clara University in 1978 and his CPA in 1981.
Crawford began his career with American Home Shield in March of 1987 as regional sales manager. Over the past nineteen years, he has held a number of leadership roles. In January 2005, he was appointed senior vice president of sales for AHS and in January 2006, he was named president of AmeriSpec. Dave graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Science degree.
