CRI Website Lists NSF 140 Certified Products

Dalton, GA, April 23, 2009--The Carpet & Rug Institute marked Earth Day with several eco-related efforts.

The non-profit's website, www.carpet-rug.org, now lists the 27 products, made by eight manufacturers, that have been NSF 140 certified.

NSF 140 is a comprehensive environmental standard developed to help the design community identify carpet with reduced environmental impact, and NSF 140-2007 is the first multi-attribute ANSI-approved standard for environmentally preferred building materials.

The eight soft flooring companies that are included on this new CRI list are: Beaulieu Commercial, Tandus, Masland Contract, Milliken and Company, Shaw Industries, InterfaceFLOR, Bentley Prince Street, and Mannington Mills.
